Most airlines have a Sky Miles program. Miles you can earn with a credit card or other means, as now to airline flight. but I found the best way is with a credit card that lets you earn miles with purchases of air. some offer double miles for certain purchases you can change the items you buy most of them on your card or collect miles on all individual purchases. Make sure you get a card that lets you use your miles to one of the companies not just an airline. In this way you can travel to any part of the operator of your choice. Hope this helps

Please note that the airlines do not offer credit cards. All are offered by banks - the airlines are partners with incentives. If you are a bargain, but I do not know what airline you have to collect points, you're probably a better control of the first major banks. Some cards offer associated with many different company.

Thus, for example, offers different cards, Bank of America

Alaska Airlines
Hawaiian Airlines
Virgin Atlantic
Asiana
Mexicana
Aeroplan (Air Canada)

You can check ... http://www.creditcards.com/airline-miles for offers.
