How many parents read parenting books before/during pregnancy? - parenting books

I have a cousin who has about 10 pounds for the parents, all about one million pages and read them all! I never thought to read parenting books. And you? Have they read parenting pounds or 100% of the maternal instinct, or somewhere in between?

My cousin accidentally pregnant, then I think he felt he had no idea of being like a father to read these books.
